Ministry of Health confirms that the number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 42 after 11 more people were confirmed infected in Udayapur. A spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Krishna Kumar, said that three people at the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu and eight people at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan have tested positive for corona. Vikas Devkota informed.

Corona infection had already been confirmed in 13 people living in a mosque in Triyuga Municipality of Udaipur. Corona infection was observed when examining a sample of residents of a mosque village. Of the confirmed infections on Tuesday, there were age between 18 - 58 years old.

100 additional nasal specimens and throat swabs of people who came in contact with those infected have been collected for polymerase chain reaction tests. The samples are being tested at the National Public Health Laboratory, BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and the Koshi Hospital.
