A meeting of the Covid-19 Prevention and Control High Level Coordinating Committee held at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar has recommended the government to add the ongoing lockdown in the same manner.
A meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli suggested adding a lockdown to run essential services. Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers Narayan Prasad Bidari said that the risk of infection was not over yet and the meeting concluded that the government's policy of lockdown was right. "It simply came to our notice then. The number of days to be added and other matters will be decided by the cabinet meeting to be held tomorrow, 'said Secretary Bidari after the meeting.
Concluding that the meeting was successful in controlling the infection by protecting the lives of the citizens, Secretary Bidari said that it should be continued. Mentioning that there will be further discussion on the issue of lockdown in the cabinet meeting, he said,‘The policies currently in place are coronary disease and all efforts to prevent and treat it and the status of the infection have been discussed. The meeting has concluded that we have succeeded in controlling the infection by protecting the lives of the citizens due to the lockdown. The Council of Ministers will decide on this. '
