A woman who came to Nepal from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been confirmed to be infected with corona virus (Covid-19). A 30-year-old woman of Sindhuli Dudhauli-9, who arrived in Nepal from UAE on June 5.

She was in the quarantine of Kharipati-based Electricity Authority Training Center. The woman was rushed to Shukraraj Tropical and Communicable Diseases Hospital, Teku on Tuesday after the corona virus infection was confirmed, said SP Sabin Pradhan, chief of the Bhaktapur Metropolitan Police Complex. Her condition is normal.

A 26-year-old woman on the same plane was diagnosed with corona infection on June 12 and a sample of her swab was collected. The woman was kept in Kharipati quarantine on the first day. It is stated that the quarantine of Mulpani was shifted on the second day on June 6. From there, samples were collected for testing using PCR method and the report was positive. The woman has been admitted to Patan Hospital on June 12.

Twelve of them from UAE have been placed in Kharipati quarantine. According to SP Pradhan, only those women were confirmed to be infected with the corona virus. Although the PCR reports of the other 11 were negative, they have been kept in quarantine for 14 days as per international standards.
