Corona virus infection has been confirmed for the first time in Siraha. A 30-year-old man returning from Saudi Arabia in Sakhuwanankarkatti Gaonpalika-1 Latiyahi was confirmed infected on Saturday. Eight districts of State 2 have been affected by Corona since the first case was found in the district.

The youths, who had come to Nepal from Saudi Arabia on Fed 23, had reached Latiyahi's house the next day. A sample of his swab was taken at the health center of Bhagwanpur village municipality on May 11. Chief of the District Public Health Office, Siraha, Krishna Dev Yadav said that the corona infection was confirmed on Saturday from a test report conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu.

According to him, throat swabs of 35 people including youths were collected on May 11. Last time, swabs of 168 people were collected in the district. Of them, 76 have been reported. One of them has a positive result.

The youth has been admitted to Mahendra Genai Temporary Corona Hospital in Dhangadhimai Municipality-11 on Saturday. The youths had also reached their in-laws in Bariyarpatti Gaonpalika-5 Haripur of Siraha. He is preparing to attend the wedding of his father's daughter at Karamania in Nawarajpur Gaonpalika-1 today, said Ward Chairman of Sakhuwanankarkatti Gaonpalika-1 Shubhnarayan Yadav.

Chief District Officer of Siraha Saroj Prasad Guragai informed that contact tracing is being done on the basis of the travel details of the infected person.

In a bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health on Saturday morning, the youth was identified as a 30-year-old man from Siraha Sakhuwa-19. As soon as the bulletin written Sakhuwa-19 became public, all the people from the people's representatives to the police were confused.
