The number of people infected with the corona virus in Nepal has reached 548. Tests conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Kathmandu and the Provincial Public Health Laboratory in Bhairahawa and Bharatpur Hospital, Covid-19 on Saturday confirmed infection in 32 more people and the number of infected has reached 548.

Among those confirmed infected on Saturday were Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health in Kapilvastu, Sarlahi, Bara, Rupandehi, Chitwan and Kathmandu. Eight people, including 17-year-old, 19-year-old, 22-year-old, 35-year-old and 42-year-old men and 27-year-old women of Kapilvastu's Banganga Municipality have been confirmed infected on Saturday. At the same time, the number of infected people in Kapilvastu reached 77.

Similarly, 13 men in the age group of 18 to 35 years have also been infected in Godaita and Kawilasi municipalities of Sarlahi district. The number of infected people in Sarlahi has reached 33 by Saturday morning. Similarly, eight men in the age group of 20 to 55 in Gaidhawa and Rohini villages of Rupandehi have been confirmed infected on Saturday. As of Saturday morning, 37 people have been confirmed infected in Rupandehi.

Similarly, a 37-year-old man from Karaiyamai Municipality of Bara, a 35-year-old man from Kathmandu and a 52-year-old man from Bharatpur Metropolitan City-6 of Chitwan have also been infected.

Till now, the infection has been seen in 40 districts of Nepal. The highest number of 115 cases has been confirmed in Banke district. Of those confirmed infected, 70 have recovered so far. Three people each from Banke, Sindhupalchowk and Gulmi have died of corona infection in Nepal so far.
