The number of corona cases in Nepal has reached 3,762, according to the Ministry of Health and Population. In the last 24 hours, an additional 314 corona infections were confirmed on Monday, the ministry said.

At a regular media briefing organized by the ministry, spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam said that the number of infected people had reached 3,762.

Among those infected are

  • 1 from Sunsari
  • 9 from Morang
  • 1 from Panchthar
  • 6 from Saptari
  • 16 from Balang Biu Village Quarantine
  • 15 from Provincial Public Health Laboratory Janakpur
  • 1 from Syangja
  • 1 from Pokhara
  • 8 from Parsa
  • 7 from Bara
  • 11 from Rautahat
  • 4 from Dang
  • 1 from Banke
  • 18 from Bardiya
  • 10 from Dailekh
  • 5 from Salyan
  • 1 from Surkhet
  • 31 from Arghakhanchi
  • 1 person from Gulmi
  • 24 from Kapilvastu
  • 2 from Nawalparasi
  • 1 from Palpa
  • 8 from Pyuthan
  • 5 from Rupandehi
  • 12 from Mahottari
  • 106 from Sarlahi

The number of those discharged so far is 488. The number of discharges in the last 24 hours is 21. Twenty people have been discharged from Khajuraho Banke and one person has been discharged from Covid Unified Hospital.

According to the ministry, 156,991 samples have been tested using RDT method in Nepal till Monday. So far, 1 lakh 971 tests have been done using PCR method.

So far, the number of people in quarantine is 170,732. Similarly, the number of people living in isolation is 3,260. So far, 14 people have died in Sindhupalchowk, Banke, Gulmi, Bara, Lalitpur, Arghakhanchi, Dailekh, Bajura, Dolakha, Palpa, Surkhet, Kailali, Dolpa and Syangja.
