Ghulam Muturza Baloch, Pakistan's human rights minister in Sindh, has died of a corona infection. According to Sindh Education Minister Saeed Gani, Baloch died at the hospital.

In a statement, he said: "Baloch died due to the coronavirus. He was a brave and diligent member of the PPP. It will be a difficult task to replace him."

A few days ago, the corona infection was confirmed and he was living in isolation at home. He was admitted to the hospital as his health condition was deteriorating at home. He died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the hospital on a ventilator.

Baloch was also the chairman of the Pakistan People's Party in Karachi. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2016. So far, 72,000 people have been infected in Pakistan and 1,553 have died.
