The number of people infected with the corona virus in Nepal has reached 217. A test at the National Public Health Laboratory on Tuesday confirmed the infection in 26 more people, bringing the total to 217.
Among those confirmed infected late on Tuesday were 18 in Parsa, 2/2 in Mahottari, Dhanusha and Bhaktapur and one each in Kathmandu and Sarlahi. Sameer Kumar Adhikari has given information.
Since the first corona infection was confirmed in Nepal on January 26, 83 people have been confirmed infected on the same day. Earlier, corona infection was confirmed in 24 people on Monday alone.
The infected are women aged 22, 28, 28, 32, 45, 60, 16, 22, 24, 25, 25, 28, 28, 32 There are men aged 59, 61 and 61. All of them are infected Parsa residents. Similarly, 16, 35-year-old men of Mahottari, 20-year-old women and 40-year-old men of Dhunsha district have been found to be infected with corona. A 25-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man from Bhaktapur and a 33-year-old woman from Kathmandu and a 45-year-old man from Sarlahi have also been confirmed as corona.
Of those confirmed infected, 33 have recovered. However, after recovering from Covid-19 from Narayani Hospital, Birgunj, two persons tested positive for PCR and were re-admitted to the hospital for further tests. Similarly, the PCR report of the 52-year-old man living in a Suncity apartment in Kathmandu has also been positive. He was discharged after treatment at Patan Hospital and has been re-admitted to the hospital.
