A test conducted at the Provincial Public Health Laboratory in Bhairahawa on Saturday confirmed the infection in three more people and the number of infected people has reached 276.
Among those confirmed infected on Saturday were 25-year-old, 34-year-old and 44-year-old resident of Chandrauta, Shivaraj Municipality, Kapilvastu, said Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Sameer Kumar Adhikari. At the same time, the number of infected people in Kapilvastu alone has reached 42.
Earlier, six more people were confirmed infected on Saturday morning. Among those confirmed infected on Saturday morning were a 28-year-old woman from Bardia, Narkhu, a 30-year-old man from Siraha Sakhuwa-19, a 28-year-old man from Parsa-Birgunj-12, an 18-year-old woman from Sarlahi Ramnagar-4 and a 25-year-old woman from Chitwan Gadhauli-1. Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health has stated.
The spokesperson informed that all the infected health workers are in touch and their health condition is normal. In Siraha, it was found to be infected for the first time. At the same time, corona infection has spread in 19 out of 21 districts of the Terai. Only Morang and Sunsari in the Terai have not seen corona infection so far.
So far 91 in Parsa, 42 in Kapilvastu, 33 in Banke, 33 in Udaipur, 28 in Rupandehi, 9 in Kathmandu, 4 in Kailali, 3/3 in Rautahat, Bara, Dhanusha, Dang and Sarlahi and 2/2 in Baglung, Jhapa, Mahottari, Bhaktapur and Bardiya. Infection is seen. Similarly, infection has been confirmed in Bhojpur, Kanchanpur and Nawalparasi West, Nawalparasi East, Makwanpur and Saptari and Siraha. Of those confirmed infected, 36 have recovered so far.
